OUR GOAL IS TO MAKE HIGH QUALITY DURABLE MACHINES THAT LAST

The patented EZ Down concept was invented on the Visser farm several years ago by owner, Randy Visser, and Millwright, Lloyd Martin. They were faced with trying to find a better way to fill tote boxes with sorted potatoes from an upper level of a pack shed. Their goal was to achieve continuous flow, with gentle handling all within a small footprint.

Lloyd built a prototype from their ideas for proof of concept, and it worked on the first try! From there the box filling machine went through several iterations to refine its performance. Not long after, other applications for the invention were discovered and filling tote bags was a natural next step. The machines worked so well that they both felt it should be shared with others in the industry who were also seeking the same solutions.

From here, Ground Level Innovations was born. Further design modifications and improvements were made and tested with the result of a reliable sellable product that was ready to be shared.
